Eligible 200-level students at Rivers State University studying Engineering are invited to submit an electronic application via this portal.

Eligibility Criteria for 2025 AOS Orwell Undergraduates Scholarship For Nigerian Students

The merit-based scholarship is open to FULL-TIME undergraduates studying at Rivers State University.

Applicants must: ·

1. Be a citizen of Nigeria
2. Currently in their second year of full-time study (2023/2024 admission year)
3. Be a student of Rivers State University (RSU)
4. Be studying Engineering
5. Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 in a 5-grade system
6. Not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship (National or International)

Selection Process

1. Selected candidates will be invited to participate in an online computer-based qualifying test.
2. Shortlisted candidates will receive invitations via email and SMS. All applicants are therefore advised to ensure that their valid GSM phone numbers and personal email addresses are correctly entered in the e-application forms on the website.

Before you start this application, ensure you have clear scanned copies of the following documents:

1. Passport photograph not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px, not more than 200kb)
2. School ID card
3. Admission Letter
4. O' Level Result
5. JAMB Result
6. Local Government Area Letter of Identification

How to Apply

Interested and qualified? Go to AOS Orwell on candidate.scholastica.ng to apply

1. Click on "Register/Log in" to create an account or log in to your Scholastica account.
2. Proceed to your email inbox to activate your account for newly registered applicants.
3. Click on https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/aosorwell2025 to return to the Scholarship site.
4. Enter your registered email and password to upload your information.
5. Enter your personal information, National Identification Number (if available), educational information, other information, and upload required scanned documents.
6. Ensure the names used in applications match the names on all documentation in the same order. Upload an affidavit or certificate if otherwise.
7. Ensure you view all documents after uploading to eliminate errors during uploading.
8. When asked to upload a photo, upload a passport photograph with a white background.
9. Recheck application information to avoid errors
10. Return to the Home page, click on the scheme you wish to apply for, and click "Apply Now" to submit information
11. You will receive a notification displayed on the screen that you have successfully applied. To confirm, check "My application" under the "My account" section on your profile account.
12. Return to www.scholastica.ng, enter your Email and Password to download your verification profile and proceed to have your Head of Department sign the document.
13. Upload a scanned copy of the signed verification profile; this will be used for verification.

If the National Identification Number (NIN) was not available in step 6, to obtain your National Identification Number (NIN):

1. Visit http://ninenrol.gov.ng to register and learn more about the National Identity Number.
2. Click "Create Account" and fill in the required fields
3. Log in with your Email and Password to complete the form
4. After completion, schedule a date for photo and fingerprint capture
5. Visit any of the capture centres http://www.nimc.gov.ng/?q=nin-registration-centres to complete the registration process and obtain your National Identity Number
6. You can also do your total registration at the NIMC office
