Alan Lyons Family Soils 2025 at Guelph Graduate Scholarship

Alan Lyons and his family have a long legacy of farming in Ontario. Mr. Lyons established this scholarship in recognition of his family’s contributions to agriculture as well as to promote soil health with up-and-coming young researchers. Soils at Guelph is the ideal partner for advancing sustainable soil management in Ontario by making research accessible and facilitating knowledge exchange. Apply by August 15 using the OAC Graduate Fall Award Application Form. Selection will be based on the quality of the research proposal and academic excellence as demonstrated by publications, conference presentations, and applied field experience. Recipients are required to submit an annual summary of their research.

Students entering in the Winter, Summer, or Fall of the award year (i.e. students who would be in semesters 1, 2, or 3 at the time the award will be distributed) into an MSc or Doctoral graduate program offered by the School of Environmental Sciences or Department of Plant Agriculture, who plan to undertake research in sustainable soil management (e.g., cover crops), and have demonstrated experience in this area.

Eligibility Criteria for Alan Lyons Family Soils 2025 at Guelph Graduate Scholarship
