The Women in Sport Scholarship is part of a wider initiative at Birkbeck to foster women’s participation in the sport industry and aims to benefit a female student enrolled on a sport programme (MSc).The Scholarship is generously funded by Birkbeck alumnus Tim Edwards and his partner Elizabeth Edwards

Eligibility Criteria for Birkbeck University Women in Sport Scholarship 2025

Applications are welcome from female Home/international students who meet this criteria:

  1. graduated with a 1st class or 2:1 undergraduate degree
  2. have strong potential for achievement at postgraduate level
  3. demonstrate financial need.

Benefits of Birkbeck University Women in Sport Scholarship 2025

Funding of £5,000 for a full-time Home/international student or £2,500 per year for a part-time Home/international student, depending on chosen mode of study.
