Eligibility Criteria for International Postgraduate Taught Country Scholarship at Liverpool John Moores University (LJMU) 2025
This scholarship is available to eligible international students who are nationals of the following countries:
- Americas: Canada
- Europe: Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain
- Middle East: Bahrain, Jordan, Iran, Lebanon, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Turkey, UAE
- North Africa: Algeria, Egypt, Morocco, Sudan, Tunisia
- South Asia: Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka
- Sub-Saharan Africa: Ghana, Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Rwanda, Zimbabwe
- South East Asia: Malaysia, Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam
Students from all other international countries who enroll in September and January 2025 will receive LJMU's International Postgraduate Achievement Scholarship (which has a different value).
Eligibility Criteria for All Applicants
To be considered for the International Postgraduate Taught Country Scholarship, successful candidates must meet all of the following essential criteria:
- Self-Funded: You must be a self-funded student.
- Full-Time Postgraduate Taught Course Offer: You must meet the conditions stated in your full-time, postgraduate taught course offer letter from Liverpool John Moores University.
- No External Sponsorship: You must not have funding from other external sources, such as government or employer sponsorships.
- On-Campus Study: You must be studying full-time at Liverpool John Moores University (on campus).
Please Note:
- Students studying the LLM Legal Practice (SQE 1 and 2) and PGCert Foundations in Law programmes are not eligible for this scholarship.

- Eligible students will receive a £4,000 tuition fee discount towards the first year of their full-time postgraduate taught studies at LJMU.
How to Apply
No application is necessary for this award. If you meet all the criteria outlined above, the scholarship will be automatically applied. LJMU will send an update of your scholarship status in your Certificate of Acceptance of Studies (CAS).
