The Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 6, powered by Reckitt, is a global initiative that seeks to accelerate progress toward Sustainable Development Goal 6: ensuring universal access to clean water, sanitation, and hygiene by 2030. Despite global efforts, billions still lack access to these basic human rights, leading to preventable diseases and widespread inequalities. In partnership with One Young World, Reckitt is calling on young social entrepreneurs to present scalable, innovative solutions that address critical water, sanitation, and hygiene (WASH) challenges, particularly those impacting children and women.

Now in its sixth year, the challenge supports impactful initiatives through financial investment, mentorship, and global visibility, with a particular emphasis on solutions leveraging digital technology, AI, and sustainable practices within Reckitt's value chain. Applications are open until June 11, 2025, offering changemakers an opportunity to contribute to lasting, systemic change in communities around the world.

Eligibility Criteria for Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 6

1. Aligned: Evidently aligned with the SDG6 indicators.
2. Youth-led: Founded by a person aged 18 – 30.
3. Focused: Clear implementation and scale-up plan, identified key stakeholders and beneficiaries, and proposed outcomes that are reasonable and well thought out.
4. Proven: The Solution is readily available, being piloted, implemented, or scaled.
5. Impactful: Solutions must have a positive social impact, for example, promoting health, generating educational outcomes, or employment opportunities.
6. Measurable: The Solution’s impact in society must be adequately measured.
7. Financially viable: Must be able to achieve efficiency and to survive independently through the resources they generate and/or the investments and donations they attract.
8. Scalable: Potential to grow impact after expanding in scope or size and/or into other regions.

Benefits of Lead2030 Challenge for SDG 6

The winning solution will receive:

1. Sponsorship to participate in the One Young World Summit 2025.
2. A US$50,000 grant from Reckitt.
3. 12 months of mentorship from a team of Reckitt professionals. The mentorship team will work to accelerate your solution based on the needs of your initiative or organization.
