Apply for the MTN Foundation Scholarship 2025 for 400 Eligible Nigerian Students

The MTN Foundation Scholarships Program, launched in 2010, annually recognizes and rewards high-performing Nigerian students in public tertiary institutions. The scholarship supports students in three categories:
- MTN Foundation Science and Technology Scholarship (MTNF STS)
- MTN Foundation Scholarship for Blind Students (MTNF SBS)
- MTN Foundation Top 10 UTME Scholarship
300 successful candidates are awarded ₦300,000 each year until graduation, provided they maintain the required academic performance.
The MTN Foundation is proud to award 400 eligible students in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions with scholarships this year(2025), supporting their academic journeys and future careers.
Eligibility Criteria for MTN Foundation Scholarship 2025
A. Institution of Study
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) and MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to Nigerian students in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institution (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
B. Course of Study
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS) is open to 300 level students studying Science & Technology related courses, in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS) is open to 200 & 300 level Blind students studying any course in Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education).
C. Level of Study
MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):
The application is open to students who have completed their second semester 200 level examinations going to 300 level and students currently in their 300 level as we understand that the academic calendar in not aligned across all public tertiary institutions.
The MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):
The application is open to 200 & 300 level blind students in any Nigerian Public Tertiary Institutions (Universities, Polytechnics, and Colleges of Education). However, for blind students studying Law, which is a 5 years course, only 300 level students can apply for the MTN Scholarship.
D. Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA)
The MTN Science and Technology Scholarship (STS):
STEM Students in Public Universities, and Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) score of 3.0/4 or 3.5/5 (second class upper credit)
STEM Students in Public Polytechnics must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Program.
Direct Entry level STEM students must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (upper credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program and must have secured admission into 300 level/3rd year in a Public University.
MTN Scholarship for Blind Students (SBS):
Blind Students in the Universities or Colleges of Education must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.5
Blind Students in Public Polytechnics must have a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) Program and must have secured admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) Program.
