In partnership with author Robert McKee, Regent's University London is honoured to offer this scholarship to one student per term, studying Screenwriting and Producing or Screenwriting and Producing with Foundation.

Eligibility Criteria for Robert McKee screenwriting scholarship 2025

Interview Dates and Process

If shortlisted, you will be invited to interview (face-to-face or online) with members of the Film, Media & Performance team at Regent’s. You will be asked to discuss your short drama script and points from your statement, as well as answer other interview questions.


Benefits of Robert McKee screenwriting scholarship 2025

£7,000 towards fees for each year of study.

A complimentary place at the London Screenwriters’ Festival, whenever it’s hosted at Regent's University London.

How to Apply

Please complete the following task and send your statement and script as attachments to study@regents.ac.uk.

Please include your full name, nationality and student number within the email.

Submit a short film script

Please submit a short film script, in correct screenplay formatting, of up to five minutes in length and a 1,000-word statement answering the following question:

  1. ‘Why would being a Robert McKee International Screenwriting scholar be important to you?’
