Eligibility Criteria for Abertay Baillie Gifford STEM Women’s Scholarship 2025

To be considered for this scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:

1. Be studying in 1st, 2nd or 3rd year of ONE of the following degrees:
2. BSc (Hons) Computer Games Application Development.
3. BSc (Hons) Computer Games Technology.
4. BSc (Hons) Computing.
5. BSc (Hons) Ethical Hacking.
6. BSc (Hons) Computer Science with Cybersecurity.
7. BEng Civil and Environmental Engineering.
8. BSc (Hons) Food and Consumer Science.
9. BSc (Hons) Forensic Sciences.
10. BSc (Hons) Biomedical Science.
11. Identify as female.
12. Be able to demonstrate a financial need for support in the application form.
13. Be able to demonstrate a strong intent to have a career in their chosen subject area when they graduate.
14. Be willing to meet the award conditions set out below.
15. Be studying at the Abertay campus in Dundee.

Selection Process

Applicants are expected to meet the following conditions if they accept the award:

1. To write a letter of thanks.
2. Give permission for parts of the letter of thanks to be quoted in promotional materials.
3. To be willing to meet with representatives of the scholarship if required.
4. To take part in promotional activity relating to the award.
5. To write an end-of-year update on your progress at Abertay University.

1. Two references in support of your application – Personal and Academic.
2. Letter of Student Support Award (i.e. SAAS award letter for 25-26).
