The Brian W. Lin Memorial Scholarship is created to honor Dr. Brian W. Lin, a Kaiser Permanente Emergency Medicine Physician, Director of Undergraduate Medical Education and creator of the Kaiser Longitudinal Integrated Clerkship (KLIC) at KP San Francisco.

This scholarship seeks to support medical students who have participated in or are currently involved in a longitudinal clinical experience and have demonstrated a commitment to teaching, mentorship, and educational innovation.

  1. Complete and submit the Dr. Brian W. Lin Memorial Scholarship Application.
  2. Provide your current curriculum vitae.
  3. Provide a letter from your medical or osteopathic school confirming good academic standing.
  4. Provide one letter of recommendation from a mentor or teacher at your school or someone familiar with your work in the community.
  5. Write a short essay describing “How has your involvement in teaching, mentorship, or educational innovation influenced and shaped your goals for your career as a physician?” (500 words max, included in the below application)
  6. All supporting documentation and letters must be submitted through the online application in PDF format.
  7. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
  8. Upon successful submission of your application, a confirmation email will be sent to the medical school email address on record. Please save that email for your records.
