CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026

The CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship supports young scientists conducting research in immunology or cancer immunology at leading institutions worldwide. Funded by the Cancer Research Institute (CRI), the fellowship provides up to three years of financial support for hypothesis-driven, mechanistic studies that advance the understanding of the immune system’s role in cancer.

Applications are evaluated by CRI’s Scientific Advisory Council based on the applicant’s track record, sponsor quality, training environment, and research proposal. Fellows may be based in the United States or internationally, provided the host institution is a non-profit research center or university.

Eligibility Criteria for CRI Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026

  1. Applicant must hold a doctoral degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) before fellowship activation
  2. Research must be in immunology or cancer immunology
  3. Must work under a sponsor (assistant professor or above) at a non-profit institution
  4. No more than 5 years of relevant postdoctoral experience
  5. Only one fellow per sponsor per round, and sponsor may have no more than three CRI fellows concurrently

Stipend:

  1. Year 1: $74,000
  2. Year 2: $76,000
  3. Year 3: $78,000

Institutional Allowance: $5,000 per year for research supplies, travel, health insurance, or childcare
