Dean’s Undergraduate Scholarship 2026-2027

The Dean's Scholarship is aimed at undergraduate students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement. Successful candidates will receive a scholarship worth £6,000 per year.

Eligibility Criteria for Dean’s Undergraduate Scholarship 2026-2027

1. Apply for a full-time BA or BSc undergraduate course and receive an unconditional offer by the date noted in the eligibility criteria below.
2. Meet country-specific academic entry requirements (see eligibility criteria below).
3. Complete the online application form, which includes a video submission requirement.
4. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to take part in an interview panel.
5. Successful candidates will be asked to accept their scholarship and make their deposit payment within two weeks of being notified of the outcome of their interview.
6. Please note: students who receive the Dean's scholarship will not be eligible to receive the International Student Scholarship worth between £1,000 - £5,000. The higher-value scholarship takes precedence over the lower-value scholarship.

To be eligible for the scholarship discount, you must:

1. Be assessed as having an ‘Overseas or EU’ residency status
2. Be assessed to pay the overseas fee
3. Be studying the relevant course full-time
4. Be actively enrolled on an eligible course
5. Be a self-funded student, who is paying the full course fee for that year (those students who have their tuition fees paid by a third-party sponsor, employer or government agency will not be eligible)
6. Studying that level of the course for the first time (i.e., not repeating any level during that year)

In addition, students from Nigeria must meet the following requirements:

1. Entry Requirements: High school minimum grade B3 plus Foundation score of 65%
2. IELTS Score (or equivalent): 6.5 with no skill below 6.0
3. Receive an Unconditional offer by 28 November 2025 for a January 2026 start
4. Receive an Unconditional offer by 30 June 2026 for a September 2026 start

How to Apply

You must apply for a Leeds Beckett course through the Applicant Portal and receive a Leeds Beckett Applicant ID before applying online for the Dean's Scholarship.

Scholarship applications must be submitted through the online form. As part of the application, you will be asked to submit a short video explaining why you should receive the scholarship.

The video should be 2 minutes or less and include:

1. Why do you want to study in the UK?
2. Why do you want to study this course at Leeds Beckett?
3. What are your long-term ambitions and how will this course help you achieve them?

Applications will be assessed by the Leeds Beckett International Recruitment team. Shortlisted applicants will then be invited to a panel interview.

The application deadline for the January 2026 start is 28 November 2025.

The application deadline for the September 2026 start is 30 June 2026.
