The aim of the fund is to promote university teaching and research in the field of French-language literature by financing in particular, scholarships for second- and third cycle students, research infrastructure, and the organization of student conferences.

Eligibility Criteria for Hubert-LaRue Fund Scholarships for Master’s and Doctoral Students 2025

1. To have undertaken, during the current calendar year, master's studies at Laval University on a research topic whose major component falls within the field of French-language literature, OR to have undertaken, during the last two calendar years, doctoral studies at Laval University on a research topic whose major component falls within the field of French-language literature.
2. Be enrolled full-time at the time of application.
3. Applicants must not already be receiving a scholarship worth $8,000 or more. Students applying for a scholarship worth more than $8,000 for the following year are eligible for the Hubert-LaRue scholarship for the current year.

Benefits of Hubert-LaRue Fund Scholarships for Master’s and Doctoral Students 2025

1. 1 scholarship of $7,000 (Doctoral scholarship, the scholarship is awarded in two installments)
2. 2 scholarships of $3,500 (Master's scholarship, the scholarship is awarded in two installments)
