Molson Francophone Immersion Scholarship 2026

The Molson Foundation Francophone Immersion Scholarship supports English-speaking Canadian citizens and permanent residents (excluding Quebec residents) who wish to pursue full-time undergraduate, master's, or doctoral studies in French at Université Laval starting Winter 2026. The program encourages linguistic and cultural immersion to strengthen bilingual excellence in Canada.

Eligibility Criteria for Molson Francophone Immersion Scholarship 2026

To be a person:

  1. English-speaking candidate;
  2. non-resident of Quebec (not born in Quebec and not having Quebec resident status);
  3. beginning studies at Université Laval in the winter 2026 session in an eligible program;
  4. registered full-time* (or deemed full-time according to Student Financial Aid ) at Université Laval throughout the study program for which the scholarship was awarded.

* Part-time student (6 to 11 credits): If you are recognized as a student parent under the terms of the Université Laval Student Parent Policy , you may be considered eligible for this competition. To this end, it is your responsibility to provide us with the certificate issued by the Registrar's Office by writing to info@bbaf.ulaval.ca and specifying the scholarship program in question. Please note that it may take 7 business days to obtain this document.

  1. Relevance of the course with regard to the objective of French-speaking immersion
  2. Academic performance

Depending on the donor's wishes, priority will be given to applications from the first cycle.


Benefits of Molson Francophone Immersion Scholarship 2026

  1. $5,000 for one-year study programs (paid in 2 installments)
  2. $10,000 for degree programs over two years (paid in 4 installments)
  3. Offered annually

Apply online via the official Université Laval scholarship portal. Applicants must attach:

  1. Latest academic transcript
  2. High school transcript
  3. Proof of eligibility if applying as a part-time student parent
