Scholarships for Study Abroad and International Non-Degree Students 2025

AUC offers financial assistance to study abroad students who are visiting AUC from their home institutions, as well as international non-degree students who enroll in AUC courses but are not currently pursuing a degree.
Hermann F. Eilts Scholarship (students from U.S. institutions pursuing courses in Middle East studies, Political Science, or History)
Awarded to U.S. study abroad students who enroll in political science, history, or Middle East studies-related courses at AUC. Applicants are not required to be Middle East studies majors. It is awarded initially for one semester and may be renewable for a second semester based on academic progress. It can be used to cover tuition and/or AUC housing costs.
Simpson Scholarship in Egyptology (students pursuing AUC courses in Egyptology)
Awarded to non-degree students enrolled in Egyptology courses at AUC, with a preference given to those studying abroad from U.S. colleges and universities. Applicants are not required to be an Egyptology major. It is awarded initially for one semester and may be renewable for a second semester based on academic progress. It can be used to cover tuition and/or AUC housing costs.
Eligibility Criteria for Scholarships for Study Abroad and International Non-Degree Students 2025
- Nationality: Egyptian and/or Saudi Arabian
- High school graduate in academic year 2024 - 2025 or a transfer student with no more than one year at their current university
- Demonstrate high academic achievement
- Meet AUC's admission requirements
- Demonstrates financial need
- Must pass either the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) with a minimum band score of 6 and writing score of 6 or the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum total score of 76 and writing score of 20 or the Duolingo test with a minimum score of 125.

- Full tuition and fees
- Monthly stipend during the fall and spring semesters
- Housing in a double room at the AUC student residences
How to Apply
- Select the Donor-Funded Scholarship and check the box in the AUC admissions application. If you do not check the scholarship box, you will not be able to apply for the donor-funded scholarships at a later stage.
- Check your inbox for an email from the admissions office with a link and instructions on how to access the application on your Banner Self-Service.
- Make sure to press the SUBMIT button after filling all sections of the application and every time you log into your application.
