About East African Community (EAC)

The East African Community (EAC) is a regional intergovernmental organization composed of six partner states: Burundi, Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, Tanzania, and Uganda. The EAC works to promote economic, social, and political integration across the region. One of its key areas of focus is education and capacity building, where it provides scholarship opportunities and academic exchange programs for students in member states. These scholarships support disciplines aligned with regional development goals, including science, technology, health, and governance. Through these initiatives, the EAC aims to build a skilled workforce and foster cooperation across borders for sustainable development.
