Schulich Leader Scholarships 2026

Schulich Leader Scholarships are Canada’s most coveted undergraduate STEM scholarships. One hundred are awarded to entrepreneurial-minded high school graduates enrolling in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math program at 20 partner universities across Canada. Half are valued at $120,000 for engineering scholarships and half are valued at $100,000* for science and math scholarships. Every high school in Canada can nominate one graduating student each year to apply for the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for Schulich Leader Scholarships 2026

1. Be Graduating high school or cégep in Canada in the 2026/2027 academic year
2. Canadian citizen
3. Plan to enroll in an eligible STEM program at one of Schulich partner universities.
4. Meet the following criteria:
5. Entrepreneurial-minded (exhibiting leadership, charisma, and creativity)
6. Strong consideration will be given to students with financial need
7. Intend to pursue a career in one or more of the following focus areas:
8. Technology
9. Engineering
10. Entrepreneurship and business enterprise
11. Applied scientific research
12. Schulich are NOT considering students who:
13. Focus on activism (environmental/political/social)
14. Intend to become a practicing physician and/or medical researcher (e.g. Doctor, Dentist, Nurse, Psychologist, Pharmacist, Optometrist, etc.)
15. Intend to pursue a career in academia or conduct theoretical research.

Selection Process

1. January 28, 2026 - High school submits nominee
2. February 18, 2026 - Nominee submits scholarship application
3. March 7 - June 15, 2026 - Universities make offers
