In partnership with the British Council and the GREAT Britain Campaign, The University of Edinburgh is offering 3 scholarships to students in Thailand, Mexico and Ghana applying for one-year postgraduate courses.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Edinburgh GREAT Scholarships 2026

At the University of Edinburgh, the Scholarships will be awarded to successful nationals and residents of Thailand, Mexico and Ghana who are accepted for admission on a full-time basis for an eligible one-year, on campus postgraduate Masters programme of study.

Selection Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have, or expect to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree.

Benefits of University of Edinburgh GREAT Scholarships 2026

The scholarship programme offers financial support of a minimum of £10,000 to students pursuing one-year postgraduate study in the UK. Students can apply for courses in a range of subjects at over 60 institutions across England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

How to Apply

Eligible applicants should complete an online scholarship application.

In order to gain access to the scholarship application system applicants must have applied for admission to the University of Edinburgh. Please note that, following the submission of an application for admission, it can take up to five working days for all system checks to be completed and access to be granted. We highly recommend you apply for the scholarship well in advance of the scholarship deadline date should you encounter any technical difficulties with your application which need resolved.

The online scholarship application form is located in EUCLID and can be accessed via MyEd - our web based information portal at: https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk

When logging in to MyEd, you will need your University User Name (UUN) and password. If you require assistance, please go to: http://www.ed.ac.uk/student-systems/support-guidance
