Eligibility Criteria for University of Essex NIHR Applied Mental Health PhD Studentships 2025-2026

The PhD Studentships are for students studying one of the following courses:

1. PhD Health Studies
2. PhD Public health
3. PhD Applied Psychology

Benefits of University of Essex NIHR Applied Mental Health PhD Studentships 2025-2026

Successful applicants will receive a PhD scholarship for up to a maximum of three years of study, including:

1. Home tuition fee waiver—Overseas fee payers would pay the difference between Home and Overseas fees.
2. Living costs stipend at the UK Research and Innovation recommended level per year. The stipend for 2025-26 is £20,780.
