University of Kent 2025 Access to HE Ambition Scholarship

The Kent Access to HE Ambition Scholarship extends our support to students who undertook an Access to HE Diploma at the University of Kent, or at one of the University’s Partner Colleges. The scholarship is worth £2,000 for each year of study and will be renewed on an annual basis, subject to satisfactory progress.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Kent 2025 Access to HE Ambition Scholarship

  1. You have completed* or are in the process of completing an Access to HE Diploma at:
  2. University of Kent
  3. Mid Kent College
  4. West Kent College
  5. EKC Group
  6. Canterbury College
  7. Ashford College
  8. You are a UK student
  9. You have applied to the University of Kent for a full-time or part-time undergraduate programme.
  10. You must have made a firm acceptance of an offer made to you by the University before the 31 August 2025 application deadline in the year of entry.
  11. *If you are a former student, then you are only eligible if you completed an Access to HE Diploma at one of the institutions listed above and this is your most recent qualification undertaken.

    1. You live in an area of socio-economic deprivation—IMD Q1 or Q2
    2. You live in a low-participation neighborhood— TUNDRA Q1 or Q2
    3. You are a Care Leaver under 25
    4. You were estranged from your parents
    5. You are from the Gypsy, Roma, Traveller, Showman or Boater community
    6. Your parents or guardians did not attend university
    7. You have caring responsibilities
    8. You are currently resident in foyer or other supported accommodation

    A decision may also be made in consultation with your FE College/institution.


Benefits of University of Kent 2025 Access to HE Ambition Scholarship

£2,000 per annum for each year of study (subject to satisfactory academic progress). For a maximum of 4 years.

How to Apply

You will be asked to complete a short application form, as well as submit a statement outlining how the scholarship would benefit you during your time at Kent.

Please note: if you are deferring entry to the University, you will need to apply by the deadline in your year of entry to the University, subject to this scholarship being available at that time.
