University of Kent/Huawei School of Computing PhD Studentships 2025

In partnership with Huawei, the University of Kent’s School of Computing invites applications for 2 fully funded PhD studentships. The project focuses on “Digital Trust in the Computing Continuum,” emphasizing policy-based authorization, data trustworthiness, and intelligent network security.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Kent/Huawei School of Computing PhD Studentships 2025
Applicants must:
- Hold (or expect to obtain) at least a first- or upper second-class honors degree
- Preferably have a Master’s degree or equivalent
- Demonstrate strong research potential and academic excellence
- Meet English language requirements (if applicable)
Relevant knowledge/interest in:
- Intelligent networks
- Digital identity & trust management
- Authorization & delegation
- Neural-symbolic security enforcement (optional but beneficial)
Selection Criteria
- Academic achievement
- Quality of research proposal on the project theme
- Motivation and alignment with the research topic
- Strong academic references
- Prior experience or passion for cybersecurity and trust systems
