The Buckland Scholarship is designed to help academically able students in Law who might experience financial hardship during their studies. The Buckland Scholarship has been made possible thanks to a generous philanthropic donation from alumna Alexandra Anderson (Law LLB, 1993).

Eligibility Criteria for University of Leicester Buckland Scholarship 2025

To be considered for a Buckland Scholarship, you must meet all of the following criteria:

1. Be in receipt of an offer from the University of Leicester to study a full-time undergraduate Law LLB degree course and start your course in September 2025. Applicants from any of the following degree courses are eligible to apply: Law LLB, Law with a Modern Language LLB, Law with Politics LLB, and Law with Criminology LLB.
2. Be studying full-time and campus-based
3. Have been assessed for fee status as a 'Home' student
4. Have a household income of £30,000 or below, as confirmed by the Student Loans Company, or alternative evidence produced upon request.

Benefits of University of Leicester Buckland Scholarship 2025

Each successful applicant will be awarded an annual £3,000 scholarship per year for a maximum of three years.

1. i) what difference will receiving the scholarship make to your university experience

4. iv) what achievements, academic and/or personal, are you most proud of? There is no right or wrong answer
