Whitworth Scholarship for Engineering Students 2026

This scholarship is offered by The Whitworth Society to support the next generation of engineers. Awards are available for both undergraduate and master's students.

Available to outstanding engineers who have excellent academic and practical skills and the qualities needed to succeed in industry and who wish to embark on or have already commenced an engineering degree-level programme of any engineering discipline.

Eligibility Criteria for Whitworth Scholarship for Engineering Students 2026

1. Must be a British, Commonwealth, or EU citizen
2. Must have lived in the UK for at least three consecutive years
3. Must have at least two years of vocational experience in engineering before starting degree
4. Applicable to undergraduate and postgraduate engineering students

Benefits of Whitworth Scholarship for Engineering Students 2026

1. Financial support up to £36,000 total
2. £5,000 per year for undergraduates (pro-rata for sandwich courses)
3. £5,000 for full-time master’s or £3,000 for part-time students

Interviews are mandatory for all shortlisted candidates and the deadline for applications is the 30^th June each year.
