Eligibility Criteria for Sheffield Hallam University Vice-Chancellor's Award (September 2025)

To be eligible, you must be

  1. domiciled in Nigeria, Ghana, India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, the Philippines or Vietnam.
  2. self-financing your tuition fees.
  3. entering a full-time taught postgraduate course or a full-time taught undergraduate course.
  4. starting in September 2025.
  5. studying at Sheffield Hallam for the first time.


Benefits of Sheffield Hallam University Vice-Chancellor's Award (September 2025)

Depending on your region, the award provides

  1. £3,000 for students from Nigeria, Ghana, or Southeast Asia
  2. £2,000 for students from South Asia
  3. Note: Pro-rata discounts apply if PG course has fewer than 180 credits

Vice-Chancellor's Awards are applied automatically and confirmed in your offer letter.

If you receive an award, you still need to

  1. meet any academic conditions in your offer
  2. pay your deposit
  3. pay the remaining prepayment (£8,000 in total, which includes your deposit)
