Study in the UK with £5,000 Master’s Scholarship: University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships 2025

A limited number of scholarships are available to international Masters applicants. These are highly competitive, and only applicants with excellent academic achievement and potential will be considered. If you have exceptional grades to date, you can apply for a scholarship after you have received an offer to study at the University of Sussex in 2025.The scholarship helps a variety of postgraduate taught applications throughout numerous disciplines at the University of Sussex (excluding an inventory of specified ineligible programs). It encourages educational excellence, world engagement, and research-informed follow-up in fields related to growth, innovation, and sustainability.
Eligibility Criteria for Study in the UK with £5,000 Master’s Scholarship: University of Sussex Chancellor’s International Scholarships 2025
To be eligible for this scholarship, you must:
- Be classified as ‘Overseas’ for fee purposes
- Be taking up a place on a full time Masters degree, starting September 2025
- Be self-financing
- Have exceptional academic grades (see 'Qualifications advice' for indication of minimum grades required; this does not include all accepted qualifications and is instead intended as guidance)
Minimum Academic Requirements (by nation):
- India: Minimum 70%, relying on college.
- Nigeria: First Class / CGPA 3.5.
- USA: GPA 3.5.
- Pakistan: 4-year Bachelor’s with 80% or Master’s with 70%.
- Mexico: 8.5/10 or 85%.
- Brazil: 8.5/10 or 4.5/5.0.
- Chile: 5.5 – 5/8 relying on establishment.
- Turkey: GPA 3.3.
- Japan: GPA 3.5
- Peru: 14 or 16/20.
Who isn’t eligible
- You are not eligible for this scholarship if you:
- Are applying for a Masters at a university that is not at the University of Sussex
- Are progressing into the final year of an integrated Masters at Sussex
- Are studying an online course
- Are already holding another University of Sussex scholarship (i.e, Chancellor's Masters Scholarship)
- Are studying one of the excluded courses listed below:
You are not eligible for this scholarship if you are going to study any of the following:
- Certificates and Diplomas (including PGCE)
- Courses at Brighton and Sussex Medical School (BSMS)
- Courses at IDS
- Early Years Education (with Early Years Teacher status)
- Degrees in Social work (if receiving an NHS bursary)
- Online courses
- School direct teaching courses
- Masters funded by the Research Councils (e.g. ESRC 1+3 funding)

How to Apply
Applications Open: 15 April 2025 at 09:00 GMT
Decisions Announcement: Before the finish of July 2025
- Apply for a Master’s course at the University of Sussex.
- Once you obtain a proposal, full the scholarship application on-line by way of the official Sussex portal.
- Upload your private assertion and any required documentation.
