Applications are open for the Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement 2026. The Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement is the world’s longest operating and most prestigious annual environmental award. Often referred to as the “Nobel Prize for the environment,” the Prize is awarded yearly to scientists, ecologists, economists, policymakers, or organizations that have delivered environmental options with measurable international influence.
Eligibility Criteria for Tyler Prize for Environmental Achievement 2026 ($250,000 prize)
- Nominations and nominees are welcome from any part of the world.
- The work of the nominees is anticipated to:
- Be primarily based on robust science, together with pure and/or social sciences
- Address international inequalities and options
- Demonstrate measurable and scalable influence(s) on coverage and/or follow-up
- Demonstrate engagement with youthful generations
- Full names, addresses, electronic mail addresses, and phone numbers of the nominee and nominator.
- A one to two-web-page abstract of the person’s or group’s accomplishments, discovery, improvement, or other contribution for which the award is proposed, together with hyperlinks to acceptable websites and works.
- A listing of three to five people who can be prepared to offer reference letters if the nomination is superior to the brief listing. Include a contact identify, group, and email deal for every reference. References will probably be expected to offer particular details about the influence of the nominee’s work in addition to the other standards for the Prize.
- Where the nominee is a person (rather than an establishment), submit a brief Curriculum Vitae (CV) and embed hyperlinks, if obtainable, to acceptable publications, studies, and websites that include the distinctive contribution(s) for which the nomination is being made.
- Where the nomination is for a corporation, present a brochure or datasheet, hyperlinks to the website, all related knowledge, and any extra info in help of the nomination.
- All nomination paperwork has to be assembled into one document in either Microsoft Word or PDF format.
- All file names should embody the identity of the nominee and nomination year (e.g., JoannaSmith2026, ACME2026).

How to Apply
Nominations shut on 11:59 p.m. (ET), May 2, 2025. Nominators whose nominees advance to the brief listing will probably be notified by June 20, 2025.
