The 2025 UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Scholarship is a prestigious, fully funded opportunity for registered nurses committed to advancing global health leadership. Offered by the University of Global Health Equity (UGHE) in Rwanda, this scholarship covers 100% tuition for the Master of Science in Global Nursing Leadership (MGNL) program.

The MGNL program is 80% online but requires in-person examinations on campus in Rwanda. Applicants must have a bachelor’s degree in nursing, 5–7 years of experience, and a valid RN license. Successful candidates must complete the program or refund the scholarship.

Eligibility Criteria for UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Scholarship 2025

  1. Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program
  2. 5–7 years’ experience as a registered nurse (RN)
  3. Current employment as an RN
  4. Current non-restricted RN practice license
  5. Proficiency in English
  6. Academic documents from an accredited institution (Notarized copies)

    1. Letter of support for graduate study from the current employer
    2. Two professional referees
    3. Curriculum vitae (CV)
    4. Statement of purpose essay outlining interest in nursing leadership
    5. Personal interview with UGHE graduate faculty
    6. Proficiency in English

    8. Completed applications with NOTARIZED COPIES of academic documents


Benefits of UGHE Masters in Global Nursing Scholarship 2025

  1. Successful candidates enjoy a 100% tuition-only scholarship. However, they must commit to completing the program; failure to do so will require a refund of the entire scholarship amount.
  2. The MGNL program, delivered 80% online, demands students to have access to functional computers and high-speed internet. Students report to the UGHE campus for examinations for two weeks each semester.
  3. While UGHE covers tuition, students are responsible for all costs outside UGHE’s Butaro campus, including airfare, accommodation, meals, and visa fees.
  4. The award lasts for two years, and students are expected to bring personal items and toiletries as UGHE does not provide pocket money or living stipends.
