Awarded to students who are the first in their family to attend university. This scholarship will provide financial support to students to enable them to successfully engage in their study at the University of Canberra, while being accommodated in a safe, secure, and accessible student residence.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Canberra 2025 First in Family Student Accommodation Scholarship

To be eligible for the Scholarship, the applicant must be:

1. an Australian citizen, permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa holder;
2. an undergraduate student at the University of Canberra;
3. the first member of their immediate family, including siblings, to attend university;
4. able to demonstrate financial need; and
5. residing at one of the University of Canberra student residences.

Students may reapply for this Scholarship each Semester; however, priority may be given to commencing students.

1. Read through the details and deadlines for all available scholarships on the UC Scholarships website.
2. Click on the Link button and complete the scholarship application form before the published deadline. You can only submit one scholarship application each round, but the good news is that the Scholarships Office will make sure that you are assessed for all the scholarships for which you fit the criteria.
