University of London Budapester Foundation scholarship 2025

Enabled by the generous support of the Budapester Foundation, the University of London is pleased to announce the availability of a new undergraduate scholarship delivered through distance learning.

As stated in the will of Federico Zichy Thyssen and the charitable objectives of the Budapester Foundation, the scholarship will be awarded by the University to a student either resident in, or from Hungary.

The Budapester Foundation has three fundamental pillars, outlined in its founding statutes:

1. the protection of endangered wildlife;
2. the promotion of education through university scholarships;
3. the support of non-profit foundations or entities that carry out charitable works in African communities.

Education is an essential pillar for the Foundation, operating under the belief that everyone should have the opportunity to learn and grow, regardless of their background. This directly supports the University of London’s mission to be the UK’s leading provider of distance learning worldwide, ensuring that we continue to increase the number of people around the world who can benefit most from education.

The Budapester Foundation scholarship will cover tuition fees for a student embarking on one of the following distance-learning programmes:

1. BSc in Economics
2. BSc in Economics and Management
3. BSc in International Relations
4. BSc in Psychology
5. BSc in Computer Science

Eligibility Criteria for University of London Budapester Foundation scholarship 2025

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be:

1. Either a Hungarian national or permanently resident in Hungary (documentary evidence will need to be provided to confirm this).
2. Have an offer of a place on one of the following programmes: BSc in Economics, BSc in Economics and Management, BSc in International Relations, BSc in Psychology or BSc Computer Science.

The Budapester Foundation scholarship will cover tuition fees for a student studying any of the listed courses.

How to Apply

Submit a programme application form online. Online applications are located on each programmes webpage. You can find your course using our course finder search.

When you have received an offer for your programme, download and complete the scholarship application form.

Then upload your completed scholarship application form in Contact us. Under Applications, select the Scholarships and Bursaries section to upload your form, and state how you will pay any outstanding fees not covered by the scholarship.
