University of Wolverhampton Women in STEM Scholarships 2025/26

The University of Wolverhampton is offering 20 scholarships of £2,000 per year to outstanding international female students applying to full-time STEM undergraduate programmes for September 2025 entry.

This initiative supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals by helping close the gender gap in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and aims to empower women globally.

Eligibility Criteria for University of Wolverhampton Women in STEM Scholarships 2025/26

  1. Applicants must hold an offer for a full-time undergraduate programme (area of STEM) at the University of Wolverhampton for entry in academic year 2025/2026 by July 31st 2025, or A Level results day.
  2. Scholarships are not transferable and are only available for entry in the academic year 2024/2025
  3. Applicants must be self-funding and not in receipt of a scholarship from an external source
  4. Only applicants who have been assessed as overseas students for tuition fee purposes can access this scholarship.
  5. Applicant must be a woman or identify as a woman
  6. Students receiving any of the University of Wolverhampton Women in STEM Scholarships would also be eligible for the Lord Paul UG Excellence Scholarship
  7. Applicants will not be eligible for the scholarship if they defer their entry
  8. Recipients receiving this scholarship will be eligible to combine this with the University of Wolverhampton Lord Paul Undergraduate Excellence Scholarship
  9. Recipients are required to take part in student ambassador and/or mentoring schemes, promoting the value of studying at the University of Wolverhampton
  10. Willingness to embody the UK higher education experience by attending lectures and tutorials and engaging with extracurricular activities.
  11. Selection Process

    Scholarships are awarded on a competitive basis using the strength of a 500-word personal statement, evaluated based on

    1. Originality and clarity of ideas
    2. Commitment to promoting STEM for women and girls
    3. Passion for community impact in the home country
    4. Future goals and capacity-building plans after graduation


Benefits of University of Wolverhampton Women in STEM Scholarships 2025/26

  1. £2,000 tuition fee reduction per year (renewable for each year of study).

How to Apply

You will be required to submit a 500 word statement on “How would you promote STEM career and encourage other women to follow in your footsteps?” this should include your plan and passion to engage other women and girls in STEM from your home country and demonstrate your plans for future contribution to capacity building and engagement through the benefits you achieved after graduating
