2026 Biola Universtiy Trustee Scholarship

At Biola University, we’re looking for students who are earnest about their faith, serious about their scholarship and intent on serving God and others. Our prestigious Trustee Scholarship honors students who embody these virtues with full tuition coverage for the normal length of their academic program. This competitive scholarship is awarded to 10 first-time, full-time incoming undergraduate students who have demonstrated academic excellence, strength of character, community contribution and Christian maturity. Eligibility Criteria for 2026 Biola Universtiy Trustee Scholarship

To be eligible for the full-tuition scholarship, applicants must meet the following criteria:

1. High school GPA: Minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 3.8 on a 4.0 scale.
2. Standardized test scores: SAT: 1500+, ACT: 34+ or CLT 110+
3. Leadership: Demonstrated service and leadership roles.
4. Two letters of recommendation: Emphasizing intellectual ability, strength of character and work ethic.
5. One letter from a teacher, school administrator, coach or community leader
6. One letter from a mentor/adult acquainted with the student's faith commitment
7. Enrollment: Must be applying as a first-time, full-time undergraduate student for Fall 2026. Transfer students are not eligible for this scholarship.
8. Recipients are expected to remain in good academic standing, with a minimum of a 3.5 cumulative Biola GPA, and uphold all appropriate Biola academic and behavioral standards.

Students must respond to all of the following prompts:

1. What kind of community do you hope to build or be a part of at Biola, and how will you contribute to that vision? (300-400 words)
2. Tell us about a moment when you were challenged by a different perspective or realized a belief you held needed to change. What did you learn and how did it impact you? (300-400 words)
3. What idea, topic, or question has recently sparked your curiosity or challenged your thinking? Why has it resonated with you, and what have you done to explore it more deeply? (300-400 words)
4. Describe a person you admire for their integrity or courage. What have you learned from their life, and how has it influenced the way you show up in your own relationships and decisions? (300-400 words)
5. Describe a time when you led a group or initiative. How did your leadership positively impact others, and what lessons did you learn about yourself and your approach to leadership? (500-750 words)

Benefits of 2026 Biola Universtiy Trustee Scholarship

1. The Trustee Scholarship is a full-tuition scholarship for select incoming undergraduate students who have demonstrated academic excellence, strength of character, community contribution and Christian maturity.

How to Apply

Students must review the following application guidelines and submit both applications by January 15, 2026.

1. Complete your application to Biola University
2. Submit a completed application for admission to Biola University, including unofficial transcripts, three short response questions and optional test scores.
3. Complete the Trustee Scholarship application
4. Submit a separate scholarship application, including test scores, two letters of recommendation and essays.
