Animikii Scholarships 2025

Applications are currently open for the Animikii Technology and Entrepreneurship Awards For Indigenous Youth. These scholarships aim to support applicants who are attending a post-secondary program with a focus on either technology or entrepreneurship and people with an innovative business idea or a new business under two (2) years old.

Eligibility Criteria for Animikii Scholarships 2025

1. Open to applicants who are attending a post-secondary program with a focus on either technology or entrepreneurship - all academic levels are welcome.
2. People with an innovative business idea or a new business under two (2) years old are also eligible to apply—no education required.

Selection Process

1. Animikii has a volunteer team of scholarship reviewers from across the company to select the winners.
2. The scholarship review team reads your applications and scores them based on your fit with the scholarship.
3. The committee also takes into account how you want to support your community and your previous/ongoing projects. We purposely omit grades as a part of our application process to make it as accessible as possible.
4. The information is stored only for the use of selecting the applicants and is not shared beyond the committee. Information will be deleted within 6 months of the application due date
5. Applications close on Oct 15, 2025. Applicants are notified of award selection within a few weeks of this date. Applications received after this date will be considered for the next award period.

Benefits of Animikii Scholarships 2025

1. Two (2) awards of $1000 CAD each are available to Indigenous youth ages 17-30
