Kay and Stuart Nicol Scholarship 2025-2026

A scholarship, valued at $2,500, will be awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student enrolled in Year Two, Three, or Four in any program in the Faculty of Mathematics. Selection is based on academic excellence (minimum 80% cumulative average) combined with extracurricular and leadership involvement, etc. Interested students should submit an on-line application by November 1. This fund is made possible by a donation from Heather Nicol (BMath ’86) in loving memory of her parents, Kay and Stuart Nicol. They inspired Heather to continue her passion for mathematics and pursue a degree in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo.

  1. Complete the applicable term Undergraduate Award Application
  2. At this time we are only accepting applications for awards with a Fall deadline (September - December).
  3. Access the Fall Term Undergraduate Award Application on our Undergraduate Studies Form page.
  4. The application for awards with deadlines in a future term will be available by the start of that term – please check back later.
  5. Complete a separate application for each award you wish to be considered for.
