Scholarships recognize outstanding academic achievement. Scholarships are available to Canadian and International students. If you are awarded a scholarship, Financial Aid and Awards will notify you in writing. Due to the high volume of applications received each term, payment of funds may not occur until the middle of the term of application. We encourage you to plan accordingly. Awarded to an undergraduate student in any faculty based on excellent academic standing.

Eligibility Criteria for Simon Fraser University Dueck Auto Group President's Scholarship 2025

To apply for a scholarship, you must:

  1. have completed at least 12 units of standard graded courses at SFU.
  2. be enrolled in a minimum of 12 units of standard graded courses at SFU in the term of application.
  3. have a minimum CGPA of 3.50 at SFU.
  4. Challenge, audit and credit-free courses are not considered.
  5. Enrolment in a Co-op term (3 units) does not satisfy the enrollment requirement, as it is not a standard graded course.

A student with a disability is eligible to apply for scholarships if the student is enrolled in a minimum of 6 or more units of standard graded courses and meets all other eligibility requirements. At the time of application, the student has to provide a letter from SFU’s Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) confirming that the student is registered with the Centre (CAL

Interview Dates and Process

A student holding an SFU entrance award is eligible to apply for all other university-administered scholarships.

A student holding an SFU entrance scholarship is not eligible for any other university-administered scholarship until the entrance scholarship is fully paid out. This policy applies to any term in which an entrance scholarship is deferred.

Some financial aid is specifically available for Indigenous students only. Indigenous can be contextualized as “Indigenous peoples of Canada” to refer specifically to First Nations, Métis, and Inuit peoples.

  1. $2,200 will be offered to the recipient of the scholarship.

Are you qualified and interested in this opportunity? Kindly go to Simon Fraser University on sims.erp.sfu.ca to apply

The Summer 2025 application period will open May 5, 2025. Successful recipients will be notified in mid-June.

  1. Check the application period and final deadline at Application Deadlines.
  2. Click on "Student Center."
  3. Go to Financial Aid and Awards (under Finances).
  4. Click on "Apply for Scholarships/Awards."
  5. List the scholarships/awards you want to apply for on your online application.
  6. Complete and submit your application.
  7. Supporting documentation (if any) is to be emailed to faawards@sfu.ca by the application deadline.
  8. Set up Direct Deposit (administered through the Student Accounts Office) as soon as possible to receive any refunds you may be eligible to receive.
