The African Studies Centre Leiden (ASCL) is an interdisciplinary academic research institute based in the Netherlands and affiliated with Leiden University. It is dedicated to the study and understanding of Africa’s diverse societies, cultures, and political and economic systems. The ASCL supports academic research, publishes scholarly works, organizes events, and provides resources to enhance knowledge and foster collaboration on African topics globally.
